“Travelling gives us a break from the monotonous pattern of life. When we travel, we look forward to iconic experiences that make our trip memorable and worthwhile.”
The special purpose of the tour for students of Std. IX was to give them the opportunity to experience different modes of transportation. Our trip started with a flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi, and the enjoyment of the tour began from there. The next mode of transportation was a Volvo bus which took us sightseeing around the picturesque areas of Kochi. We visited Mattanchery Palace and saw the Cheenavala or Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi. Our students also had a wonderful shopping experience in Fort Kochi.
The next mode of transportation was by Metro Rail, and the students experienced the beauty of Kochi. Later, they went on a cruise enjoying the beautiful Vembanad Lake, Rainbow Bridge and the greenery of Bolgatty
Palace before returning to Thiruvananthapuram by train.
